How to install the BW7 backup camera system?

Are you looking to enhance the safety and convenience of your RV travels? Installing a ZEROXCLUB BW7 backup camera system can provide you with added peace of mind while on the road. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to install the BW7 backup camera system on Furrion pre-wired vehicles.

Gather the Necessary Tools

Before you begin, make sure you have the necessary tools on hand. You will need a screwdriver, voltage tester, electrical tape, and a ladder. Having everything prepared will streamline the process.

What's in the Box?

Make sure you have all the necessary components: the camera, monitor, suction cup mount, rubber gasket, power cables, and any additional accessories included in the package.

Remove the Pre-Wired Mounting Bracket

Most Furrion RVs come pre-wired for backup camera systems, making the installation process much easier. Locate the pre-wired mounting bracket on the back of your RV. Remove the 4 screws holding that original cover for the pre-wired system and remove it's gasket.

Mount the Camera

Once you have removed the pre-Wired mounting bracket, it's time to attach the BW7 camera. The connector on this camera plugs right into the prewired jack. Line up the new gasket and camera and put the 4 supplied screws back into the original holes and plug in to the same power connector. Make sure the camera is positioned securely and is angled correctly for optimal visibility. Turn your headlights/running lights on they connected successfully.

Please note that many RV manufacturers hook the RV running light to the preinstalled mount. So typically your tow vehicle's running lights must be on to energize the RV's running lights.

Mount the Monitor

Next, decide on the placement of the monitor inside your vehicle. It should be easily visible to the driver without obstructing their view of the road. Use the provided mounting brackets to secure the monitor in place. Power the monitor with the included power adapter.

Adjusting the Settings

Take the time to adjust the camera settings to suit your preferences. You may need to change the angle or brightness to optimize the view based on your driving conditions.
